About Syntaxe

We build Sovereign, so organisations can move off old software with proof.

Syntaxe Ltd is a UK technology company. Sovereign, our flagship, reads an old system, rebuilds it in modern code, and proves the new one gives the same results before anything switches over.

Sovereign

Legacy modernisation

Understand old software. Build a replacement. Check its behaviour against the original.

Why we exist

Every organisation has a system it cannot switch off.

I have worked in many places that ran on old software like this. Systems that had run for decades, that nobody fully understood, and that could not be stopped, only worked around.

I come from cybersecurity, and every security team knows that system. It cannot be patched, and the vendor stopped supporting it years ago. You cannot switch it off, so you build controls around it and hope nobody finds the way in. Sovereign is how you finally get rid of it.

Toyin Aiyegbo, founder

Changing these systems feels too risky, so they stay: unpatched, unsupported, and exactly what attackers look for. Every year they cost more to run, and fewer people know how they work.

Rewriting the code was never the hard part. The hard part is knowing exactly what the old system does, and proving the new one does the same. Sovereign does both by machine, and shows you the evidence.

How we work

Four commitments.

  • Proof, not promises. Every result comes with evidence your own team can re-run.
  • Your code stays with you. Sovereign runs inside your network, with no internet connection.
  • No AI in the proof. The results are exact and repeatable.
  • You decide every next step. Each step is agreed in writing before it starts.

Where we are
